CHASING DREAMS

Team Pathway has a goal to inspire and motivate the youth of the day to follow their dreams irrespective of the challenges surrounding them.
We strongly believe in the saying " WINNERS NEVER QUIT AND QUITTERS NEVER WIN."
Hence, we make it a point of duty to bring stories of young people who are striving to make it in life and are ready to do so no matter what.
Therefore,
We present to you an exclusive interview of
Kizito Izuchukwu.

1. Who is Kizito ?
Kizito is a singer, hails from Enugu State, last child of 8 children, graduated from the department of Theatre and Film Studies in the University of Nigeria .

2. Why music?
Music came out of passion and I followed it without looking back.

3. When did it begin?
I started with rap about 5 years ago but I guess I found out I am better off a singer. I do well in both though. I have proven that in some of my tracks including 'amosu'

4. How were you able to combine your music career with school work?
Combining music with school was really tough considering how tedious theatre arts is as a course but love they say, conquers all. I love theatre and I love music so and I was lucky to succeed in both while in school even though not without impediments.

5. What inspires the kind of music you do?
I get inspired by experiences: things that happen around me or to me. Sometimes a good instrumental can turn me on also

6. Who is your role model?

Tuface is my role model, I hope he finds out soon. I love Tuface so much. Let me not say more about Tuface before I break down in tears. I look up to a couple of others like Flavour, Brymo, Kelly Handsome etc.But that doesn't mean they are the only ones I love. I listen to a lot of music from a lot of artistes.

7. What are some of the challenges you have faced so far?
My major challenge up till now is finance. Money is just the summary of all other challenges I would have loved to enumerate.

8. How supportive has your family been?
No body in my family is into entertainment so its hard to get their full support if you know what I mean. They still support me to the extent of their understanding of what I do not withstanding. My aged dad loves my songs and he believes in my talent but he just can't do much more. If he could he would.

9. How many songs have you released so far?
I have so many recorded tracks but I have just released about 5 or 6

10. Which is your favourite?
I don't have a favourite.

11. Are you in a label?
I am currently being managed by Coalbelt Entertainment and we hope to metamorphose into something bigger soon.I am not  signed to any label yet but I have an entertainment group that is like my family(KreativeMindz).

12. What are some of the prospects you have as an upcoming artiste?
My prospects as an upcoming artiste are much but in a simple term, I just want to be great maybe greater than Tuface. I want to affect lives with my music. I want to be able to speak for a lot of people who have been denied the opportunity to. I come from a poor generation, not very poor but poor enough to know that money is important. So I also want to make money and help people around me. I want to be able to do more than just showing sympathy orally. I want to be capable of changing lives.

13. What should your fans be expecting?
I doubt that I have fans yet. I like to believe what I have now are basically friends(a lot of them). I have my reasons for willingly deciding to suspend the belief that I have fans yet(laughs). They should expect me not to 'fall their hand' I will keep doing good music and I will always have them in mind.

14. Are you in a relationship?
As to whether I am in a relationship, I think we should just skip it until it becomes necessary to talk about that.

15. Any words of advice for upcoming artistes like you?
Keep trying different ways because there is no one way of 'blowing' or doing anything.

16. Apart from music, what else are you good at?
Apart from music I am also a good actor and I can be troublesome.

17. Do you plan to be into music full time?
I am already into music full time

Well...you have heard it for yourselves.
Keep trying to do what you are doing
Consistency, determination and desire go a long way to building greatness.
